The new Bitia website is online

Trust is one of the most used and least true words in companies, and in everyday personal life too.

It is everywhere: in values, on websites, in presentations.
But as soon as something goes wrong, it disappears.

Because trust is not what we say.
It is what happens when things are not under control. You see it when someone admits a mistake without building a justification on top of it.
When you can say “I don’t agree” without having to soften it.
When a question is not read as a threat.

If these things don’t happen, it is not a communication problem: it is a trust problem. And without trust, work becomes an exercise in defence: people say less than they should, expose only what is “safe”, avoid the areas where something genuinely useful might emerge.

Everything looks like it works.
But nothing really improves.

Here is the most uncomfortable part: trust doesn’t break in the big moments, it breaks in the details. An ignored message, half-listening.
An answer given while looking elsewhere.

That is where everything is decided.

And in a context where we are constantly distracted, fast and connected to everything except the person in front of us, building trust becomes harder and harder.

Not because we don’t want to, but because we are not really present.

At Bitia, with the launch of our new website, we don’t want to add another statement. We prefer the harder choice: to hold ourselves to this every day.

Trust is a value.
But unless it becomes a behaviour, it stays just a word.
